That’s all folks..!

June 3rd, 2009

Well, if you are reading this then I’ve popped my clogs and I bid you a fond farewell.. I left instructions for H to set this to “posted” as/when I go.. I can honestly say I had a good life, okay the last few weeks/months were a little poor but I wouldn’t change any of it. I leave a fantastic wife, a wonderful son and for at least those two things I am immensely proud. Hello to all the friends/family I didn’t get round to seeing recently, it’s been a little hard to keep in contact lately.

A big hey to my brothers and all the rest of my family, although it’s been a fairly quick ending I am glad we managed to spend some time together :) It has been really good to see the extended family - shame it took something like my lack of health to bring us all close together but isn’t it always the way.

Take care you all and I’m sure we’ll meet up somewhere further down the path :)

A final note, it probably isn’t worth adding any comments unless you are already registered, H isn’t going to be able to go in and manually Approve them like I have been doing.. I don’t want to open my blog up for anyone to comment otherwise it will soon get full up of spam :( My FaceBook page should still be there for comments etc..

Meh..

May 24th, 2009

I have been in hospital since Tuesday and things aren’t doing so well – many, mains pains in my head, spelling is atrocious and I am having to spell check everything I type.. seems thing happening are happening up top. My back is killing me as well, leading to the assumption the tumours are playing up again.
My bowels are really playing, up, seems I am totally constipated an no amount of different enemas, laxatives shifting it so know what the hell they can do next

So it seems things are starting to kick in and I don’t know how to what extent.. this is why I’m not adding too many posts to my, Flickr and Facebook pages.

A family day out at Beale Park

April 20th, 2009

Yesterday (Sunday) both sides of the family got together and headed to Beale Park: “Space, fresh air, fun, adventure, enchanting animals, exotic beauty, animal farm, children’s entertainment & activities on the banks of Thames.” It was a fantastic day, full sunshine and nice and warm too. I have uploaded the obligatory photos to my Flickr page (link coming when the upload finishes) :)

Found a old Simian demo tape (old band)

Not posted for a while..

April 13th, 2009

Although people may (and do) scoff I have actually been quite busy since coming out of hospital :) The first week was just catching up with everything, sussing out if/how to get in and out of the car etc and just metaphorically finding my feet. We went the Harvester for dinner (not the best place ever but it is easilyaccessible and close by for a first trip out), it was really nice going out as a family again and doing things together :)

This last week we have had out break in Southsea (pictures here) and, erm, I can’t remember specifically but it has shot by and now it’s Bank Holiday Monday. Our house is full of chocolate eggs etc, too many for our own good really but when you have loads of relatives buying it gets a bit manic!

Today we are having a barbecue for both our respective familes, looking at around twenty people so I’m relieved to see it is dry and sunny outside! Hopefully I will be able to man the barbie okay, it should be okay but if not I shall have to delegate the jobs a little.. there’ss be plenty of guys there to help - it’s strictly a no-girl zone, they’ll be knocking up coleslaw and potato salad anyway ;)

Having a lazy day today

April 5th, 2009

Because I haven’t really rested since coming home from hospital I am having a lazy day today - it’s 13:35 and I’m only just going to get up. I lay in bed watching the F1 race this morning, Hayley brought me breakfast in bed so it’s all been cool.
Tomorrow we are off to Southsea for a couple of days, bit of a last minute thing but it’s just a couple of days staying overnight in a Premier Inn to get away and do a bit of exploring :)

Busy day today..

April 2nd, 2009

Well, thankfully I CAN get in and out of the car with minimal fuss - I was really worried that I wouldn’t be able to and hence be stuck pretty much at home. Luckily it was really easy, a lot less hassle than we thought so the world is our oyster again :)
