I find myself needing some mental stimulation so I bought a new book.. something to continue and update my ASP.NET skills.
I am looking to write my own web-based application to manage and display my digital photos and video.. I am halfway there but this book should help me convert a few things to ASP.NET 3.5.
I have to take a photo by the end of the month that takes into account the theme “The Four Elements” and includes all four. This had me completely stuck for ages, Earth, Wind and Air would be easy (pretty much any outside shot) but Fire? Then it dawned on me - the Sun. Take an outside photo that incorporates the Sun too and there you have all four.. now to find somewhere decent to take a photo!
Then I thought of alternatives - in divinatory tarot, the suits of cups, swords, wands (batons) and pentacles (coins) are said to correspond to water, air, fire, and earth respectively. These correspond in the modern deck of playing cards to hearts, spades, clubs, and diamonds. Get a pack of Tarot cards and arrange interestingly..
Also, grab an interesting-looking candle and stand it right by a window - bang, you get Earth, Wind and Air from outside and the reflection of the candle in the window for Fire.
Food for thought, I’m heading off to town anyway today so a quick browse for a pack of Tarot cards and/or an interesting candle might be in order 
It’s good to get the brain working again, I’ve vegetated for too long and things like this are good to get the head working again.
